This feature protects you from losing your domain name due to credit card expiration or failure to change your contact information. If you fail to renew your domain name, we’ll hold it for up to one year. During that time period, it will be placed on inactive, protected status with a parked page. To rescue the domain, simply pay the renewal fee.
Deadbolt Transfer Protection puts your domain on lockdown, making it impossible for any inadvertent, accidental, or malicious transfer. Unlike regular domain locking, which occurs at the Registry level (automatically included with every domain name purchased through our company), Deadbolt Transfer Protection offers an even higher level of security – we lock your domain in your account.
